Collaborative World Building
The traditional Hollywood art department and the post VFX pipeline are evolving and merging. The NantStudios RAD team provides full art direction and creative services, producing stunning imagery while working collaboratively with traditional production teams from initial concept, to build, to final pixel on screen. Whether photo-real or stylized, our award-winning artists can lead you through the creative process from start to finish.
Digital Environment Creation
Our team of esteemed world builders are excellent at crafting highly detailed photo-real or stylized digital backgrounds. The NantStudios environment creation workflow is a highly iterative scene creation system that seamlessly integrates with modern visualization pipelines. With flexibility at its core, this process allows for truly collaborative and uniquely dynamic art development. Our RAD’s digital environments are fully photo-real, at frame rate, and final pixel in camera.
Photogrammetry
An integral part of producing assets that are flawless facsimiles of the real world is the ability to digitize the physical environment, and the detailed minutiae that populate it. Too often a digital set can be easily identified as a CG asset due to a lack of almost unnoticeable details. Using modern capture workflows and the world’s leading photogrammetry software solutions, we can rapidly digitize almost any organic or hard surface.
Immersive
Our team members have created some of the world’s most innovative and award-winning real-time activations. We have worked with technology behind interactive screens, VR/AR experiences, theme park attractions, and video games. These past experiences are woven into the fabric that makes up our virtual production toolsets, making us more than just a single focus production studio.
Previsualization & Tech Visualization (TechViz)
The key to a successful shoot begins early in pre-production. Our in-house team of expert supervisors will work with you to plan both creative and technical execution. Deploying such tools as VR Scouting, VCAM blocking and lighting simulation to ensure the final product is precisely as you imagined.
2D Plate Acquisition
Knowing how to shoot, stitch, stabilize and color time ultra high resolution background plates from a large array of cameras is a daunting task. Why go it alone and risk compromising the quality of the final product? Our team has decades of production experience on the gamut of camera systems, from small form factor to the highest end production cine cameras.
Broadcast Graphics
Broadcast and live productions have a rich history of integrating compelling real-time graphics. Concerts, sporting events, and live broadcasts are looking for new ways to captivate audiences with interactive, engaging and experimental visuals. Using game engines and emerging techniques such as AR we have the tools to craft a deeper, more immersive motion graphics offering.
